Before Ahlunea, there was Nicky — a woman with a strong eye for fashion, beauty, and visual storytelling, and a long-standing relationship with the world of style.
Fashion had always been part of her language. Through years of working within that space and sharing her personal universe, she developed a clear sensitivity to silhouette, detail, texture, and the way clothing can shape how a woman feels. But Ahlunea was not born from fashion alone. It was born from what happened when fashion met a far more personal reality.
During her cancer journey, Nicky’s relationship to her body changed. So did her relationship to clothing. Pieces that may once have been chosen simply for how they looked began to matter for an entirely different reason: how they felt, how they supported, how they allowed her to still feel like herself in a vulnerable time.

That shift became the beginning of Ahlunea.
THE FOUNDER
“Ahlunea came from a moment in life where softness became essential — not only physically, but emotionally.”
What makes Nicky’s perspective distinct is that she did not arrive at this idea from trend or opportunity. She arrived at it from lived experience, with a pre-existing understanding of fashion and a much deeper understanding of what the body needs during difficult moments.
She knew how a garment should look. But now she was asking a different question: how should it feel?
That question changed everything.
01. A life shaped by fashion
Long before founding Ahlunea, Nicky had already built a world around fashion, aesthetics, and the art of dressing with feeling. Her perspective was never only about trends, but about atmosphere, femininity, and the emotional power of style.
That background matters, because Ahlunea was never intended to be purely functional. It was always meant to retain beauty, elegance, and a refined point of view. The difference is that, through experience, Nicky began to understand that true luxury is not only visual. It is also something the body feels immediately.
02. When everything changed
Her cancer journey brought a new level of awareness to the body — its vulnerability, its sensitivity, and its need for gentleness. In that chapter, softness was no longer a preference. It became a necessity.
And yet, even in that vulnerability, the desire to feel beautiful did not disappear.
That tension became central to Ahlunea: the idea that women should not have to choose between comfort and elegance, between support and refinement, between softness and strength.

03. A founder with a deeper point of view
Nicky’s vision for Ahlunea also comes from her experience beyond fashion. As someone who has worked within the fashion industry, while also building and leading companies in different sectors, she understood the reality of needing pieces that could move with the many versions of a woman’s life.
Ahlunea began with activewear because movement had played such an important role in her own healing. During her illness, movement helped her reconnect with her body, her strength, and her sense of self. But from the beginning, the vision was never limited to activewear alone.
Nicky imagined a brand that could follow her daily needs, as a woman, as a business owner, as a traveller, and as someone constantly moving between different moments, places, and responsibilities. Ahlunea is starting with movement, but it is being built with a wider purpose: to create pieces that support women through life, not only through a workout.
For Nicky, the brand also carries a personal philosophy: when something difficult happens in life, you can still choose to take what it teaches you and turn it into something meaningful. Ahlunea was born from that belief — from the decision to bring something good, soft, and useful out of a chapter that changed everything.
04. The woman behind the brand
There is a quiet clarity in the way Nicky speaks about Ahlunea. It is not about performance, or hype, or excess. It is about creating something thoughtful. Something beautiful. Something that meets women where they are.
Through her own journey, she came to understand that softness is not weakness. It is resilience, self-respect, and a different kind of strength.
And that understanding now lives at the heart of everything Ahlunea is becoming.
